Accompanying the tea
Scones
Ingredients for 12 pieces:
- 450 grams of flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 60 grams of butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup of Revion yogurt or ½ cup of milk
and ½ cup of leben (cultured milk)
Preparation:
- Mix the flour, the salt and baking soda in a frying pan or food processor.
- Add the butter while stirring until the small pieces obtained are of a uniform size.
- Add the Revion and mix until a dough is obtained
- Roll out the dough on a surface, on which flour has been spread, to thickness of about 1 cm.
- Cut out the dough into circles of 5 cm in diameter and put them into baking pant that has been greased.
- Bake for 15 minutes in a oven that has been preheated to a temperature of 200 degrees centigrade.
- Serve with butter, jam, strawberries and cream.
- Note:- The scones are not baked to a brown color but remain light colored. If you want a brown finish, then baste them with egg yolk before baking.
